1. Who can apply?
All undergraduate and graduate students in good standing are eligible to participate for academic credit in any CCSA program. Regular or part-time students at CCSA member institutions must register for courses through their home institutions. Students from institutions outside the consortium register as visiting students at Belmont University. CCSA program courses are part of the regular course offerings of member universities; therefore, students may apply for any student loans or grants for which they would normally have eligibility.
2. How do I apply?
Students must apply online via the CCSA website: ccsa.cc
3. When is the application deadline?
The application deadline is February 21, 2014. There is an early application deadline of Feb. 7. which will save you $100.
4. Is there an application fee?
Yes. There is a $300 application fee. ($200 if you submit your application by Feb. 7.) Application fees, which must be paid online via credit or debit card at time of application, are applied towards the total program price.
5. How will I know if my application has been approved?
Shortly after submission of the online application and fee and completion of the local CCSA Campus Representative Approval Recommendation (or receipt of the additional materials specified above for applicants from non-CCSA member institutions), applicants will receive an application approval notification. An official letter of acceptance into the program will be sent electronically approximately three weeks after the program application deadline. At this time, applicants will be required to submit additional materials, including such items as a copy of the photo page of their passport, and completed Health Form. Detailed information about submission of these and any other required forms will be provided via the CCSA online application system.
6. What is the cost of the program, and what does that include?
The total cost is $5995 including airfare. If you decide to book your own flight to and from London, it will cost $4795. You also have the option to take a second 3 credit-hour course for an additional $500.
Included in the program price are:
- accommodations
- daily breakfasts, lunch two days a week, dinner Monday through Thursdays.
- ISIC (International Student Identification Card)
- some field trip and excursion-related expenses
- health and emergency evacuation insurance
- London travelcards (subway and bus pass)
- BritRail pass for travel by train within Britain
All prices are subject to change in the event of unanticipated increases in airfares, monetary exchange rates or other changes in program costs. In some cases, program items may be deleted in lieu of a price increase.
7. Are there scholarships available?

8. I know nothing about theatre or playwriting. Will this class be too advanced?
I am going to break it down to the basics. I will give you the tools you need to start your playwriting journey. You will see many shows to draw examples from and have many new and exciting experiences from which to be inspired. You are limited only by your own creativity and willingness to learn.
9. So, if I have some experience playwriting, will this class be too basic?
I again say, you are limited only by your own creativity and willingness to learn. This is a chance to take inspiration and hone your craft.
